Eight walks to fall in love with green Warsaw
From May to October 2026, the Nierusz Natura foundation invites everyone to join the “Green Discoveries of Warsaw” project. Its goal is to show the capital from an unexpected side — through its parks, forests, waters and other natural corners — while helping members of the Belarusian diaspora feel more at home in the city and get to know one another.
Over the course of the project there will be eight educational walks through Warsaw’s most interesting natural and urban locations. Participants will learn how urban ecosystems work and what lies behind the principles of sustainable development, and will take part in integration games and shared activities.
Beyond the walks themselves, the project will produce bilingual — Belarusian and Polish — information materials and a series of educational posts on social media. They will focus on protecting nature, responsible consumption and an ecological way of life in a big city.
The project is carried out as part of the Fundusz Edukacji Ekologicznej — a joint initiative of the Biuro Ochrony Powietrza i Polityki Klimatycznej and the Staromiejski Dom Kultury. It is financed from the budget of the City of Warsaw.
