Webinar “AI and Ecology: Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence”
Do you know how much energy a single ChatGPT request consumes? What if every request you send to AI leaves a mark on the planet — and at the same time can save it?
Artificial intelligence is becoming ever more deeply embedded in our daily lives, but do we stop to think about its impact on the environment? Is it only negative? At this webinar, we will look at what the numbers actually say, explore how to use AI consciously and effectively, hear from ecology experts, and learn about the opportunities Nierusz Natura offers to students.
What we will talk about
🌍 AI’s impact on the environment
Large language models require enormous computational resources — both during training and in everyday use. We will discuss the real ecological cost of this technology, and at the same time look at how AI helps scientists and environmental organisations in the fight against the climate crisis.
✍️ Eco-friendly prompts: how to write better
A well-formulated request is not only a better result, but also a lower load on servers. We will learn to write prompts that work on the first try: fewer repetitions, less energy, more value.
🌱 Opportunities for students
We will learn about educational and volunteering opportunities for students first-hand: joining us will be the chair of the board of Nierusz Natura Uladzimir Zueu and the youth group leader of Coalition Clean Baltic Katsiaryna Yevsyukova.
📅 Dates
The webinar will take place twice — you can choose the time that suits you:
Participation is free. Registration is required.
