Clean River: a clean-up on the Pisia
Today, on the initiative of Belarusians living in Żyrardów, a “Clean River” action was carried out to clear rubbish from the Pisia river.
The team was small — only 5 people (despite announcements and invitations on the town’s social media) — but they managed to collect 13 bags of rubbish from the bank and the water, around 280 kg of glass, plastic and packaging.
We were also able to test several apps that help gather information about illegal dumping sites and organise ecological clean-up actions.
